WHO WE ARE

The LES Foundation, is a not-for-profit corporation registered in Delaware and approved by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501c(3) corporation. It was incorporated on November 22, 2000.

The Foundation was established by the Licensing Executives Society of U.S.A. and Canada (LES) to promote public awareness and provide educational resources on the value and importance of licensing all forms of intellectual property. The Foundation's primary current activities include:

The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors, all of whom presently are members of LES USA & Canada. To date, the Foundation has been funded primarily by contributions from LES USA & Canada, with important additional contributions from individuals. It's long-term goal is to obtain additional funds from individuals and organizations that have benefited from the licensing profession. As an approved charitable foundation, any grants or donations to the Foundation should qualify as a deductible contribution in both the U.S. and Canada. (You should consult your tax advisor to determine your exact tax benefits.) The Foundation would welcome any present or future contributions.
