One of the essential values of the Licensing Executives Society is the spirit of mentorship. The Frank Barnes Award was established in 2000 by a group of Licensing Executives Society (U.S.A. and Canada) Inc., members to memorialize Frank Barnes’ vast contributions to the field of licensing through mentorship.
Each year at the LES (USA & Canada), Annual Meeting, the Frank Barnes Award and a $500 honorarium are presented to an LES member who, like Mr. Barnes, has dedicated considerable time and energy to mentoring fellow licensing professionals.

"Richard Razgaitis was selected unanimously as the 2011 recipient of the Frank Barnes Award as it was clear that he embodies the elements of a great mentor -- willingness to listen, encourage, teach, provide experiences, and stretch thinking," said Bill Mattson, Chair of the Frank Barnes Mentor Award Nominating Committee. "His service to LES is legendary."
